GLEN ELMES MP
Member for Noosa


Glen Elmes was elected to the Queensland Parliament in 2006 after 34 years in the commercial radio industry throughout Queensland.  He and his family have lived on the Sunshine Coast for the past 24 years.

As the Member for Noosa, Glen is deeply involved with social justice issues as they affect his constituents and fights hard on their behalf.   Glen is also passionate about keeping Noosa as the environmentally-friendly and sustainable community that it has developed into.   His other state interests include Police & Corrective Services, Tourism & Small Business as well as Regional Development.

Glen is involved with many local community groups, including Noosa Residents & Ratepayers Assoc; Noosa Business Chamber of Commerce; Noosa Coast Guard; Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club; Noosa Parks Assoc.; Noosa Waters Residents Assoc; Tewantin Community Association; Eumundi Chamber of Commerce; Noosaville Association.; Neighbourhood Watch; Coolum Beach Bowls Club; Energex Community Rescue Helicopter Service; Maroochy Surf Lifesaving Club - (Honorary Vice President); Sunshine Coast Environmental Association; Noosa Landcare Assoc.; Tourism Noosa (Honorary Member); Noosa Federation of the Arts (Honorary Member); Tewantin Noosa RSL; Sunshine Beach SLC; Peregian Beach SLSC; and Noosa Heads SLSC.

Glen has recently become a Friend of the Sunshine Coast Community Hospice;  is the Patron of the Noosa Pirates Rugby League Club and also a Patron of Surf Life Saving, Sunshine Coast.
