Need an extra $100,000 to improve your club’s sport and recreation facilities?

Member for Noosa, Glen Elmes is calling all not for profit sporting groups and organisations in the Noosa Electorate to apply now for a Queensland Government Get in the Game funding grant.

Applications for Round 5 Get Playing Places and Spaces are open from 1 July and close 1 September 2016.

“Get Playing Places and Spaces is specifically designed to assist sport and recreation groups with the development of physical places and spaces that encourage locals to become involved in sport and active recreation.

“Eligible organisations can only apply for one project which can either be a new facility or an upgrade to existing facility.

“The application process is relatively straight forward but successful applications take time and careful consideration. I would encourage groups, particularly those who are new to the process to avoid leaving it to the last minute.

“Community groups help to build more vibrant and healthy communities and are at the heart of what makes Queensland great, and it makes sense to invest in their future.

“If you would like me to provide you with a letter of support for your project please contact my office on 5319 3100,” Mr Elmes said.
